Cop FYI............
Commerce City is replacing most of their Crown Vics. with Chargers. The body shop by my work does most of the black/white paint conversions for a lot of the local deparments.
Arvada will be 50/50, Brighton, Westminster and Northglenn are all getting Chargers.
There is a rumour, that CSP is investing in several "specially tuned" Chargers for pursuit use in rural areas. This sounds vaguely reminiscent of the old Mustangs and "special" Camaro's that they were using in the late 80's and early 90's.

Then it would be even cheaper to run a Charger with a 4 or 6 cylinder?
There is no need to have that kind of power in a government issued vehicle, except for the rare case of a dangerous pursuit that should never happen.
Power is a luxury, not a need.
