Default I have not heard great reviews of the water based epoxys (HD types)

The solvent based are suppose to be the better ones - like yours

It looks really nice. Only time will tell if it's function is as good as it's looks, though.

Default I had it installed at the beginning of last summer.

I have had no problems.
2 other guys in my neighborhood have the same floor (different colors though) and they have had no issues.

Let me know if you want to check it out.

Default Go to Guirys downtown (market and 22nd), Benjamin Moore Dealer. You can

rent a floor grinder and edger for about 275.00 pr day. This will allow you to grind floor to equivalent of 150 grit sand paper. Etching or acids is not sufficient. They also carry a 2 part epoxy from their industrial line, work quickly, rather short pot life. Fairly easy to do though. Think the epoxy kits are about 400.00.

Sounds like a very good option. I'm surprised etching is not enough. Why's that?

It creates more surface area for the epoxy to bond too.

Default We rented from United Rentals; the gas powered Diamond Grinder was $180/day. It..

worked about 10 times better than the HD Muriatic acid etch alone. It actually took probably 3-5mm of surface off of the top, of course our existing floor was so bad we needed it.

Default I understand that. I'm just surprised a liquid etcher wouldn't accomplish enough to do a good job.

BTW, I'm missing your phone number. Please email it to me.
