Ok, here's the deal...There is NO open container law in the state of Colorado...
In unincorporated Jeffco you can be driving down the road, beer in hand and even drinking it and it is NOT against the law. I would not suggest doing it however because you will get pulled over and stopped. It varies from city to city however. In Arvada, Lakewood and Denver it is illegal and will get you popped in a second.
