Default Yes. Btw, any luck with the insurance company ? I am in disbelief

that the company wouldn't give you any information on your S4 or the option of buying back your car if you wanted it after seeing it. Please let me know what company it is so I can avoid them.

Default Andrew, you are talking about "play karts", not race karts. The kid race karts

are often 80 or 100cc, but any real race kart is a 125cc usually.

There are no race classes to run in with the kart you posted which makes it pointless for most buyers, imo.

Default it is all about what you want to do with the kart.

if your goal is to race, then yes, you'll need to get a kart that fits in an established class, and that can be competitive on the track.

if, however, you are like me and know that your 205+ lb @ss won't be competitive in any kart anyway, then your goal might be to go out to a track a couple of days a year to have some fun and to learn to drive really well. learn the right lines, learn good throttle modulation, learn good steering input, etc.

if that is the case then you can have some fun for significantly less than the cost of a new shifter kart - and also for less than the cost of renting karts every time you go.

Just like my allroad will never be as fast around a track as your S4, I still get to have fun bringing it to the track and flogging it around.

I guess my point was only about $/unit of fun

Agreed. Don't sell yourself short because of your weight. There are some large Kart racers around.
