Friend of mine sent me an email, he also drives truck and had to go and pickup a co-workers trailer, after the co-worker got in a bit of trouble, 12 tickets:

Multiple Log Books (3): $500.00 fine per book

Driver Drove beyond allowed 11hrs, by 3 hrs (3 seperate times): $275.00ea

Falsified Log Book: $1,500.00

Driver Exceeded Max. allowed On-Duty/Driving hours, 14hrs allowed by 6 hours (twice): $300.00ea

No Current Medical Card: Out of Service and $150.00

Possesion of Alcohol in CMV: $500.00 and mandatory drug screen

Speeding 69/55: $900.00

Fine Total: $5,975.00

All this occured in wonderful California. The tractor and driver were both parked and put out of service, until the driver can get his medical card renewed, and he needs to have his brakes fixed on the truck. This all happened on Sunday morning, he hopes to be back on the road by Friday. Fortunately my friend had dropped his trailer on Monday morning in SLC, and was able to head to California and pickup this trailer to bring to Denver.

But why all the false/dup logs? Sounds like somebody needs to shape up.
