What would you do?

Kris, If it is a second car, probably the FFR. Now that I have an AWD daily driver, my next...
Project will probably not be an Audi. Either 996 or Viper or Z06. The reason being, these are more of a true sports car and can be turned into monsters relatively easily. If you are only going to have one car, there is no other choice than the B5 S4.
Please though, dont build another silver one.

Gotcha - so it's not just engine and mechanicals....
So previously, I had this opinion that kit cars are sort of, um, well, they remind me of the hardest part about Rollerblading.
That car, though, pretty hot.

Very good points
seeing as how the GTM is basically made up of all GM parts my guess is that maintenence wouldnt be all that bad, then agian I have never owned a GM vehicles so I have no real basis for comparison.
My intention for this car would be pure show with the occasional weekend outage. Hell those of you that know me also know that my previos S4 for nothing but the same.
I would want to go with an Avant I think just to change it up. Plus my understanding is that wide body is cheaper on an avant because there is less rear body work involved.
You have a good point about being paranoid. Cole can testify that I was a complete nut bag when it came to being paranoid about the Audi. I would prolly be worse off with the GTM and that may really be something to consider.
I certainly appreciate you taking the time to tell me your thoughts.
thanks!

Haha agreed NO silver this time. An no definitley not a daily driver..
I would still have my everyday car and little beater pickup.
I think the real appeal here is building something completly from the ground up and just knowing inside out, evey last detail.
To be honset the body style is not even close to my favorite and yes It does look like a kit car, but at least its not just a knock off of something else. Its actually its own thing with its own characteristics.

I agree it can look very much like a kit car but hey thats what it is right.
I have been following the progression of this kit for some time now and spending a considerable amount of time of the FFR forum learning all I can. FFR continues to refine this kit more and more with each new revision to the design. Mostly these refinments are with the interior and in time I think it will be if its not already one of the finest kit cars available.

Something else to consider in my opinion is the resale value. I think the resale on the kit car
will be higher? Dunno. I mean, BBB (Marc) was having difficulty selling his Stage III B5S4 for 18k.
This is all presuming you would sell at some point.
I'd personally go for the S4. You live in Colorado not Arizona. So, an exotic car you would get to drive much, much less time than the S4. I'd rather have the ridiculous S4 to hop into at ANY time I wanted to.
Must my .02.
