Where can I take used anti-freeze? Don't want to dump it down the drain.

Where can I take used anti-freeze? Don't want to dump it down the drain.

I used to drop mine off at a local jiffy lube.

I believe it's law - at least for motor oil, for the service stations to have to take it.

Is that kosher for whoever takes it? Typically those are oil only.

Default try your local recycling center. They shoud take empty containters too.

I'd take mine there if the Boulder recycling for motor oil and anti freeze wasn't just open 2 days a week on weekdays during the day. You'd think for such a green/recycle friendly town Boulder would take this stuff every day with open arms free of charge. That's how it is back at the center near my house back home in California.

Default Unfortunately, Denver is during the weekday and you have to bring either at least 3 different

types of hazardous materials or 25lbs worth. They will also pick it up, but you can only do it once a year. Its too much work, and I just want to drop it off somewhere. I think I'll try Wally world or quick lube places

Default That's the best way - but worst case is to use the toilet

The city sewer systems can handle it but not the storm sewers.
