Why Denver drivers (present company excluded in most cases) so terrible?
I was inspired to ask this question after some ***-clown in a suburban ran a stop light in the wrong lane and stopped with his nose in my lane partially in front of my car... then the old woman in the passenger seat looked over at me and did the "can I get in" look, to which I approved... mostly because their vehicle was now blocking my path when the light turned green and all the other cars went, they just continued to be stopped in front of me... I waved vigorously at them to move... and the old bag just looked at my like I had 3 eyes so I was forced to drive around them and miss the light. Morons.
I haven't been able to figure it out... people here are just really really bad drivers. Its almost painful to drive here - people always cutting you off, waiting eternities to get off the line at the stop lights, making traffic come to a stand still any time there is anything to rubber neck at (flashing lights seem to be particularly exciting to most people here), failing to get out of the way of emergency vehicles... and I can't make a trip outside of Denver without seeing an accident that is causing a slow up... also, if you recall, during "the blizzard" there must have been hundreds of cars off the road between Denver and the airport... and, every time I go up to the mountains I see at least one person but usually more than that completely off the road and stuck against the median, or in the middle area between the lanes. (How was that for a run-on sentence/rant?)
Whats the deal? Is it just part of the laid back Colorado attitude or something?
I've been trying hard to figure it out.
