Does any one know if the RS6 5.0L V10 engine is odd fire. I other words the crankshaft rod pins are offset so the cylinder spacing is not an even 72 deg between TDC.

I will answer my own question as it may help others. The engine is odd fire with a 18 degree offset. Cylinder spacing is 90-54-90-54-90-54-90-54-90-54 As I thought that it was even fire. I tuned the engine with 72 deg spacing and the maximum power was 680HP ATW at 18 psi boost. I knew some thing was wrong as 3 degress ignition timing ws the most I could use. After changing the TDC for each cylinder to odd fire the engine sounded more like a V10 and not a big V8. The power jumped to 803HP ATW at the same boost and I could use 9 deg more ignition advance.
