Default RS7 different shifters

So I'm shopping for an RS7 and noticed a difference in shifters between cars. I've searched online, looked over the brochures and can't seem to find the reasoning for the different shifters. Attached are some images referring to what I'm talking about. Can anyone explain?

First photo is not even an Audi RS7, second photo is RS7.

The first one is indeed an RS7. It says RS on the steering wheel and I pulled the picture off a for sale ad for an RS7. I've found multiple instances where they have this shifter. Also, the part number for both shifters specifies RS7 as a compatible model.

The sticker on the steering wheel is way too low, originally it should be in the center and RS7 steering wheel comes with dots.

There is an option that gives you a heated steering wheel with no perforation.
I can source 6 different RS7 for sale posts that have the shifter in the first picture, so there's really no arguing the validity of the question in my original post.

Anyone have any information on the shifter differences?

I'm in the US, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of differences between US and Euro specs as far as packages and options.

If the first pic is from an RS7, it’s probably a 2014 or older model (C7). There was a facelift after which came with different shifters (C7.5). Now I’m not sure if that’s how it is for the RS7 but my ‘13 A6 had a shifter like in the first pic where’s my ‘17 A7 has a different shifter.

That's what I would think but I'm seeing both shifters on 2014 model year cars. Did they apply a facelift mid-model year?

Edit: It looks like RS7 C7.5 starts with model year 2016?

I did a quick google search and it looks like they changed shifters sometime in 2014 (like you said, I saw 2014 RS7s with both shifters). Also, in RS7s with the older shifter (first pic in the OP), the steering wheel does not have the RS7 logo. In the pic in the OP, it looks like the owner stuck an RS7 logo on the steering wheel.
And unlike someone said, the RS7 logo is not in the centre. It is placed closer to the bottom but not as close to the bottom as the first pic in the OP.

For the A7 though, the shifter shape changed in 2016 (when the C7.5 happened).
