"slipping" with wheel turned hard, anyone else??
this has been happening since day 1 and i really cant explain it
its worse when its cold out so i suspect its probably the sidewall of the tire but ive never experienced it in other cars
the feeling comes when the wheel is turned hard in either direction...the tires feel like they are bobbing along
i imagine that when they tested the car on the skid pad for lateral g's they must have felt this

Not sure what you mean exactly by slipping but it sounds like you are talking about a full lock
"judder" you find on hi-perf cars and is normal. There are similar symptoms that are indicative of a bushing failure of some sort so you might want to read this thread for more info.

thanks a million for that thread, it quelled my concern...
seems it is normal...i dont think i have the bushing problem..
the quote below describes it perfectly...and im prepared to live with it
Judder on full lock is normally a "feature" of high performance cars. As you apply lock the wheel cambers over and the tyre ends up running right on its shoulder (appply full lock, then get out of the car and look at how far the wheel leans over). As the tyre moves around the circle it pushes sideways against the shoulder tread-blocks of the tyre. These tread blocks flex as far as they can, and then spring back into shape, causing that shudder. Almost all Porsches do this, and the RS4 does it exactly the same. Obviously the type of tyre and road ruface make a difference to how noticable this "feature" is.
Thanks again
