Traded in the SL55 for the cab, with no regrets. The first week's been a blast.
High point? Stopped at a light next to a 20-year-old kid in a bithchin' '95 Camaro with some huge exhaust, who proceeds to punch it off the line. I have no choice but to smoke him, keeping within the "break-in" limits, of course;-), after which I end up at the next light next to him. He rolls down his window, and seems genuinely confused.
"That thing got a turbo?", he says.
"Nope."
"Supercharger??"
"Nope."
At which point he just shook his head and rolled away gently. I'm sure he was thinking to himself, "Damn, I just got smoked by a chick car."
I know alot of you aren't cab fans, but I gotta tell you, top down, exhaust booming, this thing is hard to beat. (Plus it has rear seats for my boys and will rock in the snow one I get my D3's on.)

Re: new cab windows up
I loved the camaro story. I had a similar experience in mine with a C5 Corvette. Probably the only reason I smoked him so soundly was he couldn't shift well.
At the next stop the guy didn't roll down the windows to ask any questions, but the look of shock and awe was priceless. You gotta love the sleeper quality of this sled.
Oh yeah, almost forgot. What is the deal with top-down/windows-up driving? Is it a compromise for weather up north?
In the south that's like walking around with your jeans tucked in your socks.

Re: It was 40 degrees out, and I just put the top down for the pics
Just kidding around. I used to live in New England for a while and never thought it made that much difference.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

How is the rigidity?
I test drove an S4 cab and hated it because of the rigidity. Felt like the car had 2 halves, especially going over any bumps or on turns. Does anyone have pics of a white RS4 cab?

Used to do that in my old cabriolet...had top down in middle of chicago winters with no problem
with the windows up and wind screen up...been out in 20 degrees with top down on sunny days...works great but people look at you funny.
