That's fine but why would you champion lower resale values for the car you own? You should be happy if they get $49k for the damn thing. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they did, either.

Well said. It always amazes me at how quickly someone posts a negative comment about asking prices. Everyone is free to ask whatever they want and, if you are not in the market, there is no need for you to comment about it. But, if you are interested in buying the car, call the seller and negotiate a lower price if you feel he's asking too much.

I hope they get $49k for it. Good news for the rest of us who already own one.

Please don't be amazed. Here are some facts: I could have bought a 2008 RS4 DG w/ Ti one-owner with 63K miles on it for 36K and a 2008 RS4 Imola w/ Ti two-owner with 12K miles on it for 52K about two weeks ago on both of these. Both of the cars where in very good condition.

I somewhat regret not pulling the trigger on either of these but more will come up. The one for 36K would have been a dedicated track car and the Imola would have replaced my current RS4.

My current 2008 RS4 DG with only 16.2K, one-owner and with CPO that is transferable til 08/14 cost me 46.5K. The dealer I bought it from seems to sell RS4 at a good price bc recently they had a Misano which they were trying to sell for 48K and ended up taking it to Manheim and got 48K for it there.

The prices do fluctuate and at times seem higher and other times lower for these cars. One reason I did buy a RS4 was because they are holding their value well.

It would be great if this dealership got what they are asking and even nicer if we saw prices starting to trend higher but I doubt it.
