5K worked best with the sticky stock 255 P-Zeros, but with the winter 225 snows, 4K launches resulted in moderate tire spin and a very big smile. Drag strips are closed for the season here, but next spring I think I'll drag with the snows on the car to save the clutch.

I inadvertantly and prematurely let off on the clutch pedal last night, before the clutch was at full hookup.

I was STUNNED at the force imparted onto my neck... and the ZERO protest from the engine and drivetrain.

That was from a stop sign, and I had to stop for a red 1 block later... so I had some time to get me thinking...

Hmmm, Der Kimbo said something about 4000-5000 being the dump point for max launch.

I have snow tires on, so, based on the snap my neck just got, I wonder what would happen if I actually DID that...with snows on...

Well...

...I didn't,,, but I thought about it !

After the launch I get this big grin and then my mind tries to reconcile and absorb the acceleration that my body was just put through. It reminds me of pulling a 1.5x sec. 60' with slicks. It's 90% of the fun in the 1/4 mile. The RS4 is one sick launcher out of the hole.
