Nothing in common. Quattro is completely mechanical with an open diff in the front and another...
Open diff in the rear with only the centre diff (TorSen) giving some fore to aft biasing only.
Honda's system uses electronics to control the outputs.
Basically to start it works like a regular AWD systems, meaning it control the front to rear biasing of torque 30/70% to 70/30% front to rear and vice versa. The front diff is still an open type.
Now where it gets interesting is the rear diff uses electro magnetic (I think) clutches to control the lateral biasing of torque from any where 0 to 100%. Basically it's a fancy electronic rear diff.
I believe Audi's new system is similar to this but I have not read up on it lately.
Hope that answers your question.
