Anyone go from an E39 M5 to an RS4?

Others might disagree, but the Revo gives the car more ommph.
I sparked a debate some time back about the gains. From a peak gain perspective, it's just a couple of hp at the wheels, but the car pulls significantly stronger through mid and high end in every gear, and my redline is up to 8400 rpm with no speed limiter. I've already gone past 270 km/h (GPS reading, not speedometer), with around 1500 rpm to go before some TT decided to get in my way and I had to slow down.
Fuel consumption has also improved - I'm getting 420 km off a full tank with lots of city (start/stop) and spirited driving where in the past I used to get 380 km off the same tank and style of driving.
Exhaust note also seems louder and the car feels less reluctant to rev and pull.

Still not sure about this -- like reflashing, deflapping has its detractors as well
especially when it comes to low-speed intake temps going up. I'm still divided on that, and there's not much conclusive evidence that there are real gains, just like the exhaust valve mod.
