Default Use the motive power bleeder, jack up the car all 4 corners, remove tires

swap out the lines and follow the directions on the power bleeder. Pretty easy, you will need 2 liters of fluid for the bleeder to get a good flush.

Default do the clutch hydraulics use the same reservoir?

does the clutch system have a bleed point?

eg, a nipple on the slave cylinder?

Default Correct for most cars, but not for RS4

The service manual says reverse it:

Table - sequence for changing brake fluid / quantities

Left front 200 ml
Right front 200 ml
Left rear 200 ml
Right rear 200 ml

Total quantity* See note 1,000 ml

Default Old school habit, you are correct, but it works with the other sequence

too... I will have to modify my sequence next time.

With the power bleeder you really need 2 liters of fluid since they want you to run 1 liter out of the system and you need an ample supply in the bleeder bottle so you do not aerate the last little bit.

1 Liter will do it if you use the 2 person pedal method...

Default Agree with using 2L

The 1L suggested by the manual is not quite enough, but you might be able to get away with 1.5L if you extract the old fluid from the reservoir first and replace with new before using the power bleeder. I used 2L last time I flushed the system.

BTW, my custom offset TDR 1.2 wheels just arrived in the states and are on their way to my house now. Thanks for your help here.
