I've been planning on it, just have too many cars taking up the shops time...
already. ...straight pipes instead of the resonator, and the "S" button should still have some sort of effect.

Only if others do it first and confirmabsolutely no cabin resonance.
I did it on my new 2003 M5 and I loved it. A nice deep sound but not too loud, no cabin resonance whatsoever, and 30 pounds lighter to boot.

But if you don't push the S button you won't get the throttle remapping
so you'll still need to push the S button even with an aftermarket exhaust.
