Audi care, did you buy it? how much did you pay? Dealer charging me $550

My dealer said it is not transferable and you won't break even until a full 4 years.
He advised against doing it. I haven't had time yet to have my service rep look up the covered servives prices to see if this is true. Since I usually don't keep a car 4 years I will have to think it over. If it was transferable like Audi Assured I think it would be an easier choice.

basically it covers 4 service visits.
the 5k service is included in the price of the car, so the $550 covers the 15k, 25k, 35k, and 45k visits. if you're paying the dealership rates for those visits, the $550 is probably a bargain. they charge you ~$80/hour for crap like 'check for oil leaks' and 'lubricate sunroof rails'...bullsh1t. basic oil change at the dealership is about $50.
I haven't decided if I'm going to buy it either...supposedly you have a year to decide.

Yeah, I wrote the check...and maybe a few useful thoughts...
I'm pissed I didn't know about the service change for MY 2007 until after I finalized my deal (was going to use the word "negotiated", but to get up there on the launch list, trust me, there wasn't any negotiation...)--would have been sweet to get this thrown in like paprika, but it didn't happen for me. From here on out though, can't believe this wouldn't be one of the easier negotiating items.
Anyway, I had University in Seattle price out services 2 thru 5 and it came out minimally to $800+, so I went for it.
Remember, the above is really going to be $1,000-$1,100 over the next 4 years as service costs continue to increase. Yeah, I'm paying out the $550 now, but not too concerned about this outpacing inflated service costs.
Plus, for some odd accounting reason, they didn't charge sales tax (almost 10% her in Wa) on the $550, which they would on the above, so there's another $100 or more.
Also, for my B5 S4, I was bringing in 40 buck's worth of Mobil 1 for each service and syn is included in the RS4 service plan, so that also helped soften the price a little.
Trust helpful, just my .02

I purchased and wish I would not have (long)
I was on a three year lease initially, and then after I had signed papers, switched to a two year lease. Part of the reason I was able to re-do my paperwork was because they made a mistake on how they handled the AudiCare. While AudiCare made sense at three years, it probably does not at two years.
If I end up keeping the car (which I may) then it may be a good deal. If I turn it in, then it is a loss. Also, I like the idea of choosing my own oil and bringing to my service appointment which obviously does not make sense with AudiCare.
Either way, it is $550 and not much money in the big scheme of RS4 ownership.
