There were never any RS4's sold in the US as 2006 models but one Euro car was sent here as a show car. The cars listed below as 2007-a approximately correspond to what would have been 2006 models - they are 2007's though because Audi chose to sell them as such.

I thought Avus was available only on RS cars but never heard it was the first color.

He may have meant the original, i.e. B5 RS4 maybe? Most I have seen in pics are avus.
