Default Bluetooth

Guys
Do I have to keep my bluetooth (blackberry) in the glove compartment where the sensor is for use in the car. Can it be anywhere in the car to work?

Thanks

30ft (10m) is typical range for Bluetooth

Default Let's put it this way

I was stopped at a gas station and I went inside to the quicky mart to buy some soda. I brought my phone with me while leaving my wife in the car waiting.

While getting soda I decided to check my voice mail. Funny I thought, I don't hear anything, yet it's connected.

When I got back my wife said, "weird, all the sudden the cell phone voicemail came on and interrupted the car stereo."

How's that for range?

Default I keep mine in my backpack or laptop bag... works fine, BT range is very good....

in fact, range is so good that sometimes when I'm at the gas station and run inside to the gas station convenience store and the phone rings, the bluetooth patches the call to the car even though my phone is in my pocket with me inside the store. I get the same thing happening in the bimmer as well.

Bluetooth spec (general, not Audi) is 10m. You may get more or less depending on condition.
