Brakes - Pads/Rotors
Went to dealership as my brake light came on - told I need pads AND rotors at 41K. The light has been on a day or so and I've been really gentle. Rotors? really? any comments are appreciated....what should I expect to pay (dealership)....
Many thanks

There are other aftermarket rotors (though not cross drilled) and pads (with less dust) - I would look for a good shop locally that will be less cost than the dealership.
IHMO I will stay with the OEM rotors when my time comes.

That doesn't sound crazy to me.
I replaced pads at 18k miles.
Rotors and front pads at 35k miles.
I'm now at 50k miles and have plenty of life left in both front and rear pads (rotors look good too).
I stuck with OEM rotors, but changed to aftermarket pads.

Go for the JHM LW rotors, get yourself some stoptech SS braided lines, and grab some aftermarket hybrid pads (with sensors). This "upgrade" will help your braking feel quite a bit, reduce some rotating mass, and still be far cheaper than going through your dealer. GL.

The higher performance the vehicle the more you're also on the brakes and hence more rapid pad wear. Also higher wear with an automatic transmission (less engine braking).
But typically rotors last longer unless they become grooved by contaminants (I see you're in the Northeast and drive in the Winter - salt/sand).
It's really not that difficult to change your own rotors and pads and will save you a good deal. You'll also have a wider selection of products.

rotors
Do you need front and rear or just front?
front rotors retail for 360-400 each
rear rotors retail for 350-380 each
front pads at 500
rear pads at 200
plastilube at 30
find out what it will cost you there.

Brakes/Pads
Thanks for the response and advise from everyone. Time wasn't something I had so had the dealership to it...front only - $1279 Parts and $238 labor. Also had the center brake LED strip replaced (warranty) as it was intermittent.
Much better!

Bought OE rotors for $620 and superior Stoptech pads(with wire sensors) for $170. Can replace the pads/rotors on both sides in about an hour if take your time and only have one arm.
