Not sure what you mean by "check", but the RS4 Registry shows this to be a very early production car (the 2007-a version), Avus Siver w/ Black interior, premium package w/ Sirius that was originally delivered in California.

What I meant is if someone has a CarFax or AutoCheck account they could run the VIN and post the history. My account has expired. I appreciate you information on this car, I was not aware of the RS4 Registry.

Thanks

If it is a car you are looking at have the seller pull one for you. A dealership should have a an account. Even if it is a private seller they can pull one for you. Plus to be honest I think it is worth the expense for the piece of mind. When I was looking for mine I bought it for a month and run all the cars I was looking at. Just remember to take it with a grain of salt since those services are not fullproof.

Cheers

agreed, if you are searching for a car buy a 1 month or fixed number of searches membership, it's cheap...then you can check out all the cars that you are interested in

Same thing gets me about motorhome owners and gets me with VIN requests.

Person can afford to spend 30 to 80 thousand dollars to own a vehicle (two or 3 times that for an RV), but won't spend 30 bucks to check his own VIN? I know plenty of well to do rv owners who stay free overnight at WalMart because they won't ante up 10 dollars for a slot at an rv park.

But, I think I checked this VIN already and sent him the data on the audiforum site. People are people.

I'm with you, I know I'll get 'flamed', but I would be embaressed to ask for something for nothing, especially when the other guy paid for the service...
on the other hand, if my subscription was current, I'd probably do it...
and I would be considered a 'sucker' by these type of people...they would think they 'worked' me...lol

I guess I should have clarified. I had a account and it has expired.

And Lyman_T: If you run this VIN it wasn't for me.

Yes, I checked with the dealer for the carfax and they were *slow* on getting the information, which is why ask you folks

Trust me...I plan on getting another account if this deal doesn't work.

Regards
