This might allow some of those sitting on the fence to get an RS4 if they are "lucky". Didn't check it out as I already have my MSRP "deal" in the garage. Buyer beware of possible "Streets of Tomorrow" car dumping. Check sparkhill's registry if you know whats good for you.

http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,12529-2413289,00.html</a

Wow he really rips it eh? Yikes. Bummer, but this sentence caught my eye:
"Audi had recently demonstrated with the RS4 that after years in the suspension wilderness, it had finally got to grips with the twin peaks of ride and handling."

it's a brutal review, and quite funny, but it seems a tad sensationalist...
...I mean, read JET's review and it's the *exact* opposite, so reality is probably somewhere in-between. I haven't driven the S6, but I did drive the C6 A6 4.2 and thought it was great, so I can't really comment beyond that from a personal standpoint.
As a side note, the guy who got the first RS4 at my local dealership recently traded it in (with a mere 3300 miles on the odometer) for a new S6.

It's still a fun car to drive
I was lucky enough to drive the S6 and S8 recently and both are fantastic cars. You can really feel the torque in the S6, but it doesn't have the same sporty "feel" as the S4...it's definitely a big sedan with a big engine. It's fun to drive and I was impressed. I wouldn't trade my RS4 for it though.
