This one is a pretty good color representation of avus:

A good time was had by all
Chris,
It was a pleasure to get together with you and your wife. And, your photography is fantastic! It's a good thing I washed and quick polished my Daytona before we met! Your Avus is like a chameleon. It picks up the color of the background and sky. When you first drove up, she was blue grey, and as the clouds rolled in she turned darker grey. It's only next to mine that you can tell that it's silver.
I look forward to our next meet, once you're finished with break-in. Then we can have a proper drive down the coast. I say we start planning to have a RI meet at least once every two months. Every month or so until the winter sets in would be fine by me. Hey, we might even get 3, or 4 cars next time. As far as I know, no one in the state has the same color ... yet. I'd love to see them all in line on the sea wall like today.

That should be illegal. Those two colors moving in pairs.. righteous!
I think these are my two favorite colors. I'm partial to Daytona as its what I got. But I wouldn't be crying with that Avus. Great pics.

Yeah, I thought so too. Avus is quite stunning, almost as nice as Daytona.
We're going to have turf wars in Rhode Island, if anyone picks a duplicate color, or trys to bring an RS4 into a particular area, uninvited.
For those who care, South County is my turf. I'll welcome a new S6, S8 or R8, but if someone moves in on my territory with an RS4, we're rumbling.
