Default custom 19lb wheels

360 forged will be creating some 19x10 carbon fiber wheels for me, about 19-20lbs each. the design is based on the CF FIVE wheels, they resemble the stock wheels but with 5 split spokes. they will be doing a photo shoot with my car.. excited! it will take about 1-2 months to make the wheels.

it's warming up a tad here so i had it wash and threw the plate filler on today. i put 5k miles in the last 3 months, enjoyed every bit!

I wish Neez would make the QD7 for the RS4. I had tons of issues with HRE wheel when I had my M3.

Default I know HRE has sometimes tried other sources for their forgings in the past...

sometimes the results have been unfavorable as you may have experienced. However, when the quality defect is noticed HRE changes something to rectify the situation. Currently, I think their quality and workmanship is topnotch. They also seem to be continuously improving. Here is a link to a 6speedonline thread discussing durability and some of the lies that have been mentioned about them in the past. (Some lies I have heard propagated on this forum by those who may have read it elsewhere)

HRE

yeah, that is what i was told. they can't do full carbon fiber because they aren't legal and haven't been approved by DOT. even though carbon fiber is stronger than metal, both being equal of course.

still, 20lbs is pretty good for 19" wheels, don't know anyone with wheels this light.. i will use the oem wheels for winter.

i looked at the HRE's but they don't make bigger than 8.5 width? i wanted to get at least 19x9.
