A disaster averted
So I heard a clicking sound coming from the radiator and took it in to the dealer and it turns out the radiator fan was loose and wobbling. In fact it was on the verge of coming completely loose and probably doing some major damage.
I was going to take the RS4 for a road trip tomorrow but I got an A3 3.2 Sline as a loaner which should serve me well. This is a nice car to drive, it sounds nice and it lightness makes it rather quick. Even the automatic transmission isn't too bad.
