On the A4 (manual gear box) it's the same oil for the tranny and the TorSen so I should be the same.

Do you consider the CV joints part of the front differential?

What do you consider them part of then, the hub?...the suspension?

Default they are an independent component of the drive system...

An axle shaft inside a housing would still be able to be referred to as part of the axle and while it attaches to the differential it certainly isnt part of it.
