That's all mine shows and it looks funny without the other things.

Not sure about the AM/PM, but the date should be there.

Default I guess I'll have to see if this is a some sort of setting that can be changed with VAG-COM
The car has the K40 installed, but that shouldn't impact the clock display.

RTFM - it explains there how to turn on/off the date/time (or even the whole clock)

not trying to be a smarty pants, but can't you tell if it's am or pm unless you live in the arctic?
