Drove an '08 Phantom Black w/Titanium Package today...
The car was stunning looking, and that's saying allot because I usually don't like black cars. I can now see why so many are ordered in Phantom Black.
The Titanium Package on a dark colored car is very stealthy looking and a nice compliment. Not sure how it would be on something like Misano Red. I think it might look out of place. With a brightly colored car you are going to be seen anyway, so having shiny wheels, etc. fits right in. I could go either way on this.
I'm also not sure about the piano black beltline trim. It looks very nice when new, but I bet it would be prone to showing any little scratch. I do like the black headliner though... makes the cabin feel smaller.
Overall, the Titanium Package is nice just because it's something different.
This was my first drive in an RS4 and it was quite nice to say the least... what little of a drive there was. But I wouldn't say I was blown away... but what do you expect after only a 2 mile drive with maybe 1/4 mile on/off the freeway. The car had a total of 6 miles on it and this is after three test drives today.
The engine seemed very responsive and certainly loved to rev, and I was pleasantly surprised how nice the ride was. I'd say it was much better than our B6 1.8T, which is a big plus.
Overall it's quite a car. Yeah, it's expensive, but in comparison to an S4 it seems like a better deal. Not sure how it would compare to an S5, if you could even make that comparison. The RS4 appeals to me more because I'm an engineer and can appreciate the design. My wife, however, may prefer the S5. We shall see :-)

TJ: Have any pics been posted of Daytona/titanium wheels? I am noodling
over what to do for a winter package, and whether, ultimately, to shift to titanium in the following summer.
I am fairly confident the tires will once again be Wintersports, just not certain about wheels at this point.

They have 3 in stock. I've talked to Ben but have not made any offers yet...
what does the "rumor mill" say about any such deals. Anything other than they are willing to deal?
