drove like crap, and still owned a S60 R...
So I was going for a drive in mexico...
Had a Volvo S60 R pull up next to me, he looked over but gave no sign of a race. Light turns green and what do you know he wants to race. I'm in first, floor it and immediately start owning him bad. Then I hit the rev limiter (doh), he starts to catch back up, but 2nd gear kicks in and I start pulling hard again when I hit the limiter again (double doh, it was early in the morning, not quite awake yet) but yet again in third start to pull hard.
It's nice to know one can be half asleep, drive their worst and still beat other reasonably quick cars (S60R is no rocket, but 300hp is pretty respectable).

that may be the perfect car for someone
probably not those on this board, but someone. There are also plenty of big-turbo S60Rs running around that will leave the RS4 far behind.
AWD, 6spd, turbo 6cyl is a pretty attractive package to many, and Volvo's safety reputation is a big seller. Sure, the AWD system isn't really all that great, and the interior is horrible, but that's not important to everyone

Raced Shelby GT 500 the other day...
My buddy was in his S5 and I was in my tuned v10 S6.Shelby came up and road was open so we hit it....
I was behind the Shelby (that supercharger is loud!).
He would pull ahead, though very slowly. Sucks, first car to be faster than me since I tuned my car :-( But I have autobox, AWD, and extra weight.
Even my cousin's M6 BMW didn't pull away like that...
Oh well, wait until the procharger is installed ;-)
