Dunlp Wintersport 3D
Lookimg for Dunlop wintersport 3D in stock OEM size for my 08 RS4. I checked Tirerack and they don't have an XL rating. Are people still going with the winter set up W/O the XL rating. Besides the Blizzaks I don't know any other options in stock size as I like looking at the OEM rims everyday and not getting a second set. Any imput ?

IIRC mine have a XL rating....
I don't see a 19" available right now on TireRack. Just give them a call or post this on the wheels/tires forum.
Otherwise the LM-25's are great as well.

Re: Dunlp Wintersport 3D
While I'm sure folks have lots of good thoughts either way on XL load ratings, I've run Wintersport 3Ds on my RS4 with OEM wheels for two winters and Wintersport M3's on the S4 before that... the sidewalls were softer when cornering really hard on dry, but never any problems... and I played with them pretty hard. For a winter tire, they are great! If you are going to the track or going to jump your car like and Bo and Luke, swap our your tires first.

Re: So are you...
Yes. The Pros of keeping the OEM setup and swapping twice a year are; I like the look of the OEM wheel, No need to purchase onther set of wheels, no need to purchase another set of TPMS. The 19" winter tires will be fine in the NYC metro area most snow is under 4 inches.
The Cons are; mount and balance fees twice a year at 100 dollars x twice a year= 200 dollars per year, and won't have the deep traction in snow like an 18" .
If you are in a weather area like the NYC metro area and like the OEM setup then I believe this is the best way to go.
