Default Finally test drove the RS4

Loved the car. A question about maintenence:
I assume it is not included like on my 04 s4, hence the maint. program. Does this program cover everything? (brakes as well?)What would be the cost per year? (up to 3-4 years)

The other car I am considering, the Mercedes e63, has no maint. offered, and the cost is staggering per year.

Default Lack of maintenance program led me to consider other options ...

that, and the cost of the RS4 got me to consider a M5 and the E63 AMG. After driving all I just recently made my decision to go with the M5. I believe the maintenance program they offer now is just to cover regularly scheduled maintenance, but not really sure.

This after having owned 7 Audis, with the most recent being a 2004 S4 Avant. The only thing that could have changed this decision would have been if Audi NA would have brought the RS4 Avant over.

The loss of a maintenance program (available for $550) drove you away?

Default Sounds like it was less to do with the lack of maintenance and more to do

with your preferences...

Default Agree ... Preferences had much to do with it but ...

the lack of the maintenance program, the fact that Audi NA did not (or was not allowed) to bring over the RS4 Avant, and the price being in the neighborhood of the M5 led me to at least consider it as a viable option.

Default Not just the loss of the program ...

but all in all it had an effect. It probably had more to do with the fact that Audi NA did not bring the RS4 Avant over and the price of the RS4 is now in, or just shy, of the M5 neighborhood.

Additionally I no longer live in a climate where quattro was a hugh deciding factor.

Default "price being the neighborhood of the M5"??? Are you kidding???

An RS4 with premium package, all taxes, fees, etc, is just over $77k out the door. The M5 prices out at about $96,000. Different price league IMO.

Default Not kidding ...

Equiped roughly the same way the one I ended up with is $87,265 ... yes that is +$10K but when you are spending $77K what's another $10?
