Actually, in the US that would be (R+M)/2 = 94.5 Octane
In the US octane ratings are the average of the Research Octane Number (RON) and the Motor Octane Number (MON). In the case of your V-Power Racing Fuel, RON = 100 and MON = 89. The average is 94.5, not too much higher than the 93 Octane that we get at the pump here.

I believe you, I just don't understand why it's worth mentioning
Isn't race gas available everywhere??? If it's not illegal in California with our air restrictions I would have to imagine anyone can buy it.
It's not that every gas station sells it but it's not hard to find. You'll pay a hefty premium for it though.

Sunoco 260 GT is available at street pumps in the US and is 100 Octane (R+M)/2

I hate ethanol! Ever since E10 became mandatory here, my car has never been the same.
It was supposed to be a way for us to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and lower gas prices. Well, you have to fill up more often because ethanol is less efficient plus it costs more. There goes that theory.

That is correct. It's nothing special.
I used 100 octane Shell in Germany all the time, and it's no better than Sunoco 94 octane in the US.
Now 100 octane race gas, that's another story!
