Great Showcase of RWD performance
Google search for Nurburgring Laptime Records.
Note how the top 10 or 20 or 30 or whatever are all RWD cars.
Must have all been ringers.

What does the GT-R being AWD have to do with anything? It's not an Audi. It has a different AWD
In fact, if anything it's closest to BMW's X-drive in that it send almost all the power to the rears until such time as the wheels spin and then sends some to the front.
Their AWD system has nothing in common with quattro, either Torsen or Haldex.
