Default Gruppe M, Anybody get one yet?

Before I get jumped on I know they are expensive and questionable gains. I am ordering one mainly for the looks. I think the RS4 has one of the greatest looking engine bays and think this will complement it quite nicely. So was wondering if anyone here has put one on yet?

Default I love Gruppe Ms! But I don't think there is any gain in the RS4, except for noise

Audi makes great stock intakes, though the OEM paper filter is very restrictive (its like 4 inches thick!) If you instal the gruppe M, you will probably get the same results as just adding a drop-in replacement filter. I know that the Champion Motorsport's RS4 uses the stock airbox. With the Gruppe M, you paying for the beautiful carbon fibre intake that is very well made and the name. Just my .02!

And spending $6k for wheels does not really improve performance of car, Sometimes it's just about looks

Default Almost bought a set for my M5, gorgeous, but they are inherently flawed for that application

I recon not the case with the RS4 as the setup is different, but their design had a structural flaw when it came to the E39 M5 (which has 2 airboxes)- it was 'open air' design.

At least in the E39 M5, GruppeM employs an exposed filter design, which has minimal shielding. This causes the warmer engine compartment air to enter the air filter, thereby not offering performance gains, especially when compared with others that let mostly cooler outside air into the filter. Heat soak has been a well document issue with those cars and GruppeM actually proved detrimental under heavy traffic conditions and hot weather.

Are we sure this setup is not like that? Is the company making incremental HP claims?
