Had a bad week...
On Tuesday, on the way to work in my 997s, I heard a loud rattling in the back and then the engine shut down. After flatbedding it to the dealer, I was informed that it was an intermediate shaft failure. My dealer informed me that it meant a new engine. Mine had only 18,000 miles on it. Fortunately, it is completely covered under warranty. On Friday after a very nice day of snowboarding, I was travelling with 2 of my kids and was only about 3 miles from home, at a stopsign I was behind a SUV with a long trailer hitch. Well, the person started to pull out, but suddened hit the brakes and by the time I hit my brakes I had already run into their hitch. To make matters worse, as I backed up trying to get off the road into a parking area where there was a roadside fruit stand, I backed into another car that was parked there. In 25 years of driving, I had never hit another car, and in one quick moment managed to tap into 2. As you may guess, there was absolutely no damage to the SUV as the impact was only at 2 mph, but it did a number to my front bumper and hood. There was damage to the 2nd vehicle to a rear fender and my rear bumper was scratched badly and the taillight was broken. Later, my wife tried to comfort me and mentioned that it could all be fixed, but I still feel like crap. And I know down the road I'll probably have to redo the whole clear bra. To add insult, my insurance company has to treat everything like 2 separate incidents, which means that I'll have to pay 2 deductibles to the body shop. I didn't get a rental with one car in the shop, but now with my 2nd going in next week, I'll have to get a rental now.

I think you should stay away from moving vehicles for a while..kidding, that is rough man, I feel for you..stuff like this happens..the most important thing is you and everyone involved is ok..

its ok...its painful and expensive but makes you a better driver...including watching out for other
idiots. To me experience is predicting what imbicile drivers will do before they damage your car.

Not worth getting depressed over..
I always use the old expression, "Don't cry over spilled milk" Whats done is done and you can't change it, So why add to it by getting depressed about it?
