Has anyone done a clear bra or scotchguard paint protection on a black car

I had my 993TT (black)done after repainting.
I had the hood, mirrors, bumper and headlights done. If I had it to do again, I would skip the mirrors and hood. Mirrors are obvious (much nearer eye level and easy to see) and the material edges are easy to see. I don't care for the line on the hood.
Bumper came out great, as did the headlights. In fact, the whole job is first rate, just don't like that hood line.
I believe it to be much lesss obvious on other colors.
