It Has Finally Arrived
I took delivery today of 2007 RS4 Mugello Blue. Didn't wait long either - ordered end of November.
Couldn't do much with it today due to traffic. Tommorow will be another day. Noticed a bit of bucking / jerking motion when down shifting from 3rd to 2nd. Being a bit more patient coming off of the clutch and giving it more gas will hopefully resolve that issue.
Future mods;
Bel RX 75.
K&N Air Intake (if there is room).

Don't worry...
You will be smooth as butter in a week or so. You'll wan't to drive it so much you won't even notice it when you get smoothed out. I was surprised after having had 2 previous S4's at the difference in the clutch. A week later I couldn't recall when it "I" had smoothed out. PS: Congratulations!

Yes, I recall the bucking / jerking motion that you mention...
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/115590/img_4059.jpg"></center><p>when I was first getting acquainted with the beast.
I have 6500 miles now after 4 months and the engine is sounding better and pulling harder each week!
There's not a whole lot of room on the roads most of the time to let her loose but I live for the moments! And they happen enough to make me a very happy camper.
Enjoy!

Where are you located in Jersey? The reason I ask is that I had originally ordered a Mugellos Blue RS4, but becuase it wasn't going to come into port till 12/14/06, I couldn't wait that long. I fell in love with an S6 in the showroom and I took that instead. I'm wondering if you got it from another dealer or you actually ordered it. It would be pretty fast delivery if you had ordered one since I ordered mine in August and it took 4 1/2 months to get the thing in the USA.

A few things.....
The bucking thing is just a matter of getting used to the clutch in a car with so much power that is just so eager to rev.
Oil Burning in the break-in period, and fuel seepage into the oil are both issues with this engine. Do a search on this forum for RI RS4's break-in method. It is an aggressive break-in aimed at getting the piston rings to seal in a short a time period as possible. I used this method, am nearing 1000 miles, and haven't lost a drop of oil yet.
Watch your speed. This car is deceptively fast. Especially in turns. You look down at the speedometer and turns you used to take at 35, you'll be taking at like 60, but it'll still feel like 35.
Enjoy! This is one helluva ride!

Located in the Princeton area - I ordered it. Strangely enough there was another order for Dolphine grey - took about the same time. Spoke to dealer - the reason the turan around was quick was that they are gearing up for 2008 production - who knows?

Re: A few things.....
Appreciate the input. I saw the break in method piece - will implement after I drive it a couple of more times and I get used to the beast. Your right - I was doing 15 - 20 mph over speed limit and I wsn't doing anything different than driving my other cars.
