Have anyone tried using 275/35 or 275/30 tires on the OEM wheels?

Those aren't exactly the appropriate sizes....
275/35 would increase rolling diameter by 14mm. That is significant. 275/30 would decrease rolling diameter by rougly the same amount. Also a 9" wheel is a little narrow for a 275 tire. You'd really have to pull in the sidewalls....and there isn't much to pull in here!!!
The next available proper size up from the stock wheel is 295/30/19. that will most certainly Not fit the vehicle, nor would you want such width on a front tire. If you go with a narrower front tire and wider rear, you will cause more understeer. Something you definitely don't want to do in a nose-heavy car.
The lesson here.....more isn't alwyas better. The 255's give plenty of traction and are perfectly mated to a 9" wide wheel. Remember also, bigger tires mean more weight.

Are you sure the 275 is too wide for 9" width rim?
I have used 275/30 on 9" width rim on my previous car and it is fine. 9" width can go up to 275.
275/35 increase diameter... yes I agree but what is the difference if using 275/30 on a 20" rim size?

Not too wide per se, but not the best fit......
255/35/19 gives a diameter of 661.1mm.
275/35/19 gives a diameter of 675.1mm
275/30/20 gives a diameter of 673mm
295/30/19 gives a diameter of 659.6mm
With regards to what will fit on a given width rim vs. what is optimal to give you the best contact patch on the road is the real question. A 255mm wide tire on a 9" wide wheel will sit squarely with the full width of the tread contacting the road. A 275mm tire fits best in terms of contact patch on a 10" wheel.
While a 275mm tire may be made to fit onto a 9" wheel, the sidewalls will be bowed inward causing the edges of the tread to be "lifted" off the road, actually decreasing your contact patch. The inward bowing of the sidewalls will also decrease tire performance in hard cornering/turning situations. The lower the aspect ratio of the tire, the more the bowing and the more important to have an optimally sized wheel. A 275/40 tire for instance, will fit much better on a 9" wheel because the larger sidewall results in less bowing.
Here are some common optimal wheel tire fitments:
225mm tire on 7.5" wheel
235mm tire on 8" wheel
245mm tire on 8.5" wheel
255mm tire on 9" wheel
265mm tire on 9.5" wheel
275mm tire on 10" wheel
285mm tire on 10.5" wheel
etc. Once again, the lower the aspect ratio (30/35 is pretty freakin low), the more important that the tire sit squarely on the rim for best performance.

I have some Niche Rims and 275/30ZR/20 tires
Outstanding condition minus a slight partial rub on one rim. Will send pics on serious inquiries. Had only 4 months, selling due to hitting a deer and totalled out my car. Delinte tires have 95% tread!!! Paid over 2K for tires and rims....
