am still confused if this can be done. I have too much protected crap on my I-Pod and can't rip them to MP3's because of the protection so they will not work on the SD card.

Is there a way to incorporate the I-Pod or am i just out of luck.

I'd suggest that your purchase WMA Convert and convert your protected AC3 files to MP3. As long as you are converting music that you own, it is perfectly legal and works great. I had the same problem with transferring audio files over to my wifes Garmin Nuvi. WMA Convert did the job well. There's a batch mode which took about 12 hours to convert 500 I-Pod song.s<ul><li><a href="http://www.wma-convert.com/">WMA Convert</a></li></ul>

I've just installed a Kenwood DNX7200 (Navi, iPOD Audio/Video, Bluetooth) unit and the iPOD plays and is being controlled by the unit's touch screen JUST FINE!! thank you very much Audi for a crippled iPOD interface...

...fit/finish/etc. The Kenwood DNX-7200 isn't available in the States, so I assume you're in the UK?
