Here it is: old school B5 RS4 9-spoke wheels on a B7 RS4....
18x8.5 ET20 replicas with Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 255/40
These will serve as temporary track set at least for the remainder of this season. The offset is slightly more aggressive than the stock offset but since they are .5" narrower, it's only about 3mm further out to the fenders (comes about flush up front) and has no rubbing issues so far.
Although they are 18", I find it interesting that they look somewhat anemic compared to the stock 19's. Still looks sharp though and I'm happy with my choice. Very classic looking and a tribute to the previous B5 RS4. Less bling but hopefully better grip and performance from the goodyears. I didn't put them on the scale but they seem only very slightly heavier than the stock 19's... no biggie.

This pic shows how there's barely enough room to clear the brakes.... can barely even get a finger in there between the caliper and the inner surface of the rim. The spokes on the other hand, clear almost an inch thanks to the aggresive offset (this was a "made for allroad" offset)

agreed. especially compared to the stock 19" bling. but will make a nice winter set though...
thinking of getting dunlop WS3's which actually come in the proper size and load rating in 18"

anemic. seriously. The RS4 needs 19's but this was a necessary evil and had to be done...
now it's interesting that S4's look fine with 18's only because its stock tires' overall diameter is smaller and shows less rubber.

Good for winter, agreed... not for summer though!
If I pull the trigger on the Q7 here soon I plan to leave my S4 setup in 19" summer rubber all year round - which still gives a lot of driving time in Colorado with the wintertime sunshine and all.
