Default Holy smokes! I knew replacement brake pads would be pricey, but this is insane!

First off, the part numbers for those interested:

B7 RS4 front brake pads (set): 8E0 698 151H
B7 RS4 rear brake pads (Set): 8E0 698 451H

They are priced locally at $420 and $240 respectively! I've called several dealers in my area and prices only vary about $20-30 give or take. No current aftermarket options for the front brake pads at the moment, unless you replace the whole caliper/rotor system. Damn, this is going to be an expensive car to track! But still worth it in my book

By comparison, replacement brake pads for my E60 M5 are "only" $248 and $106 respectively. A relative bargain lol.

I called around and ended up ordering a few sets of the pads from Clair parts in the NE and got a considerably better price but still not cheap: $313 fronts and $182 rears.

Just a PSA for all those who plan on tracking. Prepare to make your wallet lighter =o)

Default World Impex is showing them at $330.84 fronts, $192.39 rears.

I don't know how reliable that info is, but that's what it shows when you enter those p/n's.

still a lot. hopefully they'll last more than 1 event.

did you try calling Clair? I compared prices on a couple of unrelated parts, and they were actually a few bucks cheaper than World Impex.

World Impex
