Default How to pair iPhone4 with 2007 RS4?

Hey everybody in RS4 Land!! I just became a proud owner of a Blue 07 RS4..and needless to say...I'm in Love! Although, I don't have a owners manual yet..the dealer has ordered me one. I can't figure out how to pair my iPhone4 with it. I thought I read online that the iPhone4 had difficulty finding the RS4 anyway..so maybe I'm not that stupid..anyone can walk me through the steps? How do I initiate the RS4 to pair with any phones? I've been clicking the "tel" button on nav and "info" but can't seem to get any further w/o the manual. I've also put my phone into search mode...but nothing comes up for bluetooth...any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Initiate the search from the phone, not the car.

Turn the key to the on position, and then search for Bluetooth devices.

It should find an Audi UHV ... device. Pair to that - the default passkey is 1234.

I am not trying to hijack the thread but why cant I play the music from my Iphone to the car? I have the correct adapter. When I go to the CD mode it does not play...

I did find the first post helpful because I could not pair my phone either...

Default Owner's Manual

When I bought my RS4 I did not think I had an owners' manual either. Make sure you check the hidden shelf under the steering wheel for it. My dealer ordered one and now I have two.

Wow thanks so much you guys! Not only was my owners manual hidden where you said it was..I was also able to pair my iPhone4 with the bluetooth in the car! You guys rock! I was reading that it didn't work with iPhone4 somewhere online....totally not true! Not only did it work...but it pulled all my contacts and call history into the car! My girlfriends 2007 BMW 335i didn't even do that!!! I love this car!!

I think the important part is that the car has to have just been started within 5 mins of trying to pair a phone. I think yesterday when I tried..the car had been running for at least 30 mins, so maybe that's why it wouldn't pair. Thanks again!
