new front rotors @ less than 4k miles!

because I did this to the original set:

it doesn't show up too well on the pics but I scored one rotor pretty badly and the other slightly because of carelessness. On my 2nd to last session of the weekend at a DE a few weeks ago, I foolishly went a few more laps longer than I should have and let the pads wear down to the backing plates. DOH! Please, no more reminders of how much an idiot move this was. Caught up in the heat of the moment kinda thing... "I bet I could get around 7 or 8 more laps out of these bad boys" lol. yeah right. I've already paid the price by coughing up $$ for a new set.
I'll probably get these rotors cut at a decent shop and keep as a spare back-up set for future track days. That, or I'll make furniture out of 'em.

Can't. The rotor and hats come together pre-assembled for the B7 RS4...
one part number for the whole assembly (rotor+hats), one price so no choice in the matter... if there was a way to just order the rotors only separately, then of course I would've done so to save a buck.

At autobahn speeds, it's pretty easy actually.
Especially with cars as heavy as Audis. Go to any Audi meet here in Germany and you'll see plenty of cracked rotors. I've yet to see them on the new RS4 though which makes me believe the brakes are well made.
