Default I had my cracked rim fixed and plan to use it as a garage kept spare. Is anyone........

familiar with this sort of thing and should this rim be safe for regular driving? The guy who fixed it is claiming "better than new for $125" as his sales pitch. <img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/108562/img_7000.jpg">

and use it only as a spare...and very sparingly at that.

Default I talked with a guy who welds wheels @ Woodys here in Denver. His main job is to build bike frames

and has a successful business there. He told me that welding these metals takes time and you have to build up the area with weld and then only remove what is needed to make the wheel look pretty. That weld looks good to me.

good price but its not going to be better than new. Thats just bs to make u go for it.
