Default I just swapped my ipod adapter for a cd changer. The cd changer works fine but all I get on the

nav. screen are track numbers just like with the ipod adapter. I suspect I need to change the code with vag-com to cd changer added. Does anyone with a vag-com and cd changer know the code?

Default I dont think you'll get anything other than that.

I dont remember any audi changer ever supporting CD-TEXT.

The iPod adapter just emulates the CD changer, so it's all the same thing as far as the head unit is concerned.

SD cards are the way to go.

Default I just gave up and went with SD cards

No way does it sound as good as CD's and I do miss the quality of a good stereo but I am slowly getting over it. I do not have or imagine
having an ipod to use in the glovebox and since
it doesn't have as much info as the SD anyway
I guess it will just go unused

Default I do use the SD cards, I have a couple 2GB cards. The cd's I tried are commercial cd's, not burned

cd's and all I get are track1, track2 etc. just like with the ipod adapter, I was hoping for track names with the cd changer.

Can you tell us the make and model of the cd player?
Also any clues on how you installed it in 5 minutes for those of us who are technically challenged!!

thanks
