with an RS4 cabriolet. I know they aren't anything alike and I do love the S8 but........ every now and then I think wouldn't a cab RS4 be fun.
Maybe it's just a spring fever thing.

Re:could you give a bit of your perspective?
I was thinking of the S8... but have not taken time to drive one yet.
Could you give a bit of an overview from your perspective, comparison, what stands out for you with both the S8 and RS4? I may or may not end up getting the S8, but really thinking.
Thanks!

It's that addicting huh?! Can't blame you for that. But IMHO I'd keep the S8 or maybe I'd buy
a Porsche convertible instead of an RS4 cab since you already drive an RS4. It's just a thought...

Problem is that I'm 6'2" and don't fit in the Cayman very well.
Guess I could check out the 911's but I really love Audi and would prefer to stay with them. I love the all weather attributes of quattro and not having to think about where audio and hvac controls are.

The S8 is awesome but after driving the RS4 - the steering feel can be lacking.
I also love driving a manual more that the tiptronic. Both vehicles can be positioned almost instantly anywhere you want them when driving on freeways.
Happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Re: Will I regret trading in my RS4 for an S8?
I've got an RS4, but I have two young kids. If I give up the RS4 for an S8 (for more room), will I regret it? How does the S8 handle?

Recent RS4 Cab owner in Oz
The RS4 Cab is great. The only thing I really notice though is it does wobble around a bit.
I'm coming from an XKR convertible, and while they are very different cars, the XKR is stiffer up top (less windscreen wobble). At saying that the RS4 Cab seems to handle much better.

My 2 cents and I think I just talked myself out of whatever I was contemplating. LOL
RS4 advantages are:
It feels and is smaller and lighter, steering feel is better with perhaps a bit less understeer and easier to drift in.
Manual transmission is more involving.
hence, car is more visceral and enjoyable to drive.
S8 advantages are:
more comfortable
more luxurious
more space
larger trunk
B&O sound
all the electronic equipment - more and better
quality of leather - amount of carbon fiber
those not in the know, don't think you are driving an A4.
ENGINES - both are great!!
LOOKS - I love them both - maybe the S8 wins by a nose.
