I think my parking assist is broke - I have one long beep everytime I start the car...
not just when in reverse and it doesn't give me any warning no matter how close I come to something. Anybody else have this happen?

Just got this fixed...
Only took them three trips to the shop. One of the sensors is bad. You get a long tone that's different than the reverse gear confirmation tone, and no sensor functionality.
Be prepared - the sensors do not come color-matched, so they will have to send it out to be painted.

the first two times the problem was intermittent...
Miraculously it would instantly start working the moment I drove onto the dealer lot and they could not replicate the problem. The third time it happened I let the problem stand for two weeks to make sure it wasn't going to rectify itself - that time they caught it.

Mine did that. Pulled off the rear bumper cover and found a disconnected sensor.
The sensor plug lock was actually broken. I zip-tied it back together and buttoned things up. Took a few hours one evening, still less work than the hassle of taking it to the stealer.
