oh perhaps - its also 2am and my minds slipping a little...the only option i was offered was the ful
premium package - with nav and such - which i took of course

The Euro flat bottom wheel isn't available on the US spec model, just as the Euro light weight seats. You can buy aftermarket, but it's not cheap, and you have to get a different airbag. I don't think the buttons work if you swap in the Euro wheel. I'm likely mistaken though.

Eurowheel will cost you ~$1200...
...for the wheel & a replacement airbag (A8). There's a number of individuals on this forum who have swapped. The buttons work fine, although having different purposes than the US-spec'd multi-function wheel, once you change the VAG codes.

You'll lose the multi-function of the oem US steering wheel. Unless you decide to go with the...
